I got this car because it was a fantastic deal that came up just before prices went crazy in the pandemic of 2020. The car runs fine, but it had fake carbon fiber trim, fake side vents, a fake hood scoop, and this paint job which was definitely done outside of a paint booth. The paint is alright from 500ft away, so I left that alone and ripped off all of the tacked on stuff trying my best not to ruin the paint (but messed up the front bumper a bit). Then I did a full 120K mile service (timing belt, water pump, etc.), a Seattle Short Throw shifter, and got some Artisa Artformed Night Wheels (18x8.5 +35) and Nitto Tires.NOTE FOR 2ND GEN (1996) 3000GT VR4 OWNERS: These wheels are flush with the fender on front and rear, and they fit without clearance issues on the rear. On the front, the wheels don't rub anything in the wheel well, but the clearance between the stock brake caliper and wheel is about 1mm. I am not running spacers, but some cars may need a small 2-5mm spacer to clear the front caliper.
