About The Nitto NT555 G2
The Nitto Tire brand is synonymous with high quality when it comes to the tire world as each model they put out seems to rank as the best of the best. The Nitto NT555 G2 tires are no exception as they lead the charge in quality when it comes to ultra high performance summer tires.
With the performance driver in mind, Nitto Tire took their original NT555 and increased its traction by introducing larger tread blocks into the design of the Nitto NT555 G2. This increased traction will get you off the line quickly and will, as Nitto says, turn any street into a playground.
What Makes the Nitto NT555 G2 So Good?
The dual center ribs in the center of the tread improve driving on dry road conditions while enhancing overall stability of the ride. The design also has larger tapered blocks and circumferential grooves so that this beast of a tire can handle any corner you take whether that is on a dry or wet road. Water flies off the tire effortlessly with the help of the center and shoulder grooves.
What Makes the Nitto NT555 G2 Special?
The rubber used for this tire includes silica compound elements with a special bonding agent that increases the interaction between all the compound elements which results in a final product with higher compound rigidity to give this tire better handling while taking on corners in any condition.
What Sizes Does the Nitto NT555 G2 Come In?
These tires come in a wide selection of sizes for 17-22 inch wheels. The overall diameter of the tires range from 25 inches to just under 28 inches with widths between 9-12 inches.

1993 Nissan 300ZX 2+2

Mounted these on Gram Lights 57CRs. I think the spec fits perfectly on 9” wheels. Not stretched and not to beefy (I would have went wider if I wasn’t afraid of rubbing). Tires look straight on with the wheels. Grips well on dry road but still rips when you want to. A little slippy on wet roads (how I like it) but no issues when braking quickly or a little hard. Price point was a great deciding factor and the tread is good looking.

Z06 came with Pilot sport from Michelin. I liked those, but wanted to try Nitto 555 which had great reviews. I have put about 300 miles on them and have to say that these tires are fantastic. I can only claim this in dry conditions, as I never drive this vette in the rain. I am very pleased. 5 stars.

Wide Performance Nitto Tires Look Super on my 97 Z28 on Fitment Industries 4Play OE Wheels CV01 17x11 50. Fits with no modifications except axle centering with an adjustable pan hard rod. I'm careful not to jack vehicle from the sides or jounce bumper bracket could damage rear rims.

These tires have given great long lasting grip through any corner. They feel great with a low power car. They are pretty decent in rain but don't work great through puddles(nor do most tires). I would highly recommend these tires to anyone thinking about getting Nitto's.

Paired my set (275/35/20) with new wheels which came mounted and balanced and ready to simply bolt on. They're significantly wider than my old stock tires(235/50/18)and the fitment on new 20x9 wheels is perfect. No rubbing, flush and looking super sporty. Performance is improved as is overall grip. They do need to be warmed up as most UHP summer tires

Honestly bought them because the tread pattern looks aggressive and all the reviews said these tires were good. I like them! While they are rated as summer tires, I have used them in all seasons. I have never lost traction with these tires, even in wet environments. (I have not tested in snow). They seem to ride a little loud and rough when they are cold, but they become super quiet and smooth once they are warmed up. I would get these again!
